‘Feeling, Thinking, Acting’ seminar – A successful midsummer week at Dalslands Studio

The first ‘Feel, Think, Act’ seminar at Dalslands Studio took place during the week around Midsummer in glorious weather and was, in many respects, a successful start.

Together with the participants, we experienced an intensive week: with long discussions on critical thinking, inner spaciousness and scope for action in our own everyday lives, repeatedly enriched by the insights of Katrin Zinkel, who drew on her experience as a counsellor and process facilitator to offer guidance on body awareness, boundaries and resonance.

Sabine Marsch structured the days with very engaging yoga sessions, which were suitable for both beginners and experienced practitioners and allowed participants to experience the body as an ally for thinking and feeling.

As the host, it was important to me that the seminar days followed a clear routine: I, Andreas, prepared breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as the obligatory fika (coffee break), and made sure they were available throughout the day, so that sharing these meals helped us establish a steady daily structure and a calm, productive atmosphere.

Between work sessions, there was time for excursions into the woods around Långed, a visit to the ice-cream parlour in Langbron – which has been open since Midsummer and serves wonderful waffles with ice cream – and a Midsummer celebration together in Billingsfors – by the water, surrounded by woodland, an old manor house and the special atmosphere of a place that bridges the past and the present.

We are delighted with this start and look forward to exploring further with you in the upcoming seminars how feeling, thinking and acting can be linked.
