Anyone passing by our Lock 13 this summer will have noticed something new since July: a wooden sign pointing to dalslands-studio.eu. It’s clearly visible directly from the lock chamber – for anyone waiting there, marvelling at the view or simply taking a break – as well as for passengers on the Dalslandia and the Storholmen, which regularly pass through the lock here.
What’s particularly lovely about it is that the sign wasn’t a commissioned piece, but a collaborative effort by our guests. Anyone who’s visited us knows how quickly an idea hatched over breakfast can turn into a joint project – this time, a wooden sign, built and put up by people who simply wanted to lend a hand.
A heartfelt thank you goes to Kim, Joe, Britta and Markus – for their wonderful support and for turning a small idea into something lasting at our lock, which now brings new faces to us summer after summer.
